PFG’s ProSun PV (photovoltaic) glass is a quality South African brand that has been developed to produce a world class, low iron patterned glass product, specifically for the photovoltaic industry.

ProSun PV glass has an improved chemical composition that increases energy transmission performance when compared with float glass. ProSun PV’s low iron properties allow for greater energy and light transmission values, thereby enabling smaller solar collectors to achieve the same Watt output rating.

The glass has a textured bottom surface and a soft matt finish on the top surface, which reduces glare. Due to the unique composition of our glass it does not discolour over time.

PFG is a significant patterned glass manufacturer with an expanding presence in Europe and the US. Our patterned glass manufacturing line includes a modern furnace that enables us to achieve low iron levels, high energy transmission with consistent quality. PFG’s processing capability ensures excellent product cosistency and repeatability. Our glass has passed various independent tests for glass used in photovoltaic applications.
